TOUR #126 – Farms, Floodplains & Flyways #1: Exploring the balance between agriculture and wildlife conservation
TOUR DESCRIPTION
Join us for a guided caravan tour of Staten Island, where you’ll drive your own vehicle while following your guide through this unique agricultural landscape. This exclusive experience provides access to private areas that are not typically open to the public.
As you travel through the island, you’ll have the opportunity to see Sandhill Cranes, a wide variety of migratory birds, and other wildlife in habitats that support both farming and conservation. Along the way, your expert guide will share how agricultural practices and habitat management work together to create a landscape where wildlife and agriculture thrive side by side.
