The LangeTwins family, winner of the Leopold Conservation Award, is all about sustainability. This includes stewardship of the Mokelumne River and adjoining lowlands, their vineyards, and their state- of-the-art winery. Join a local naturalist and, Kendra Lange Altnow, on a rare walking tour of their wildlife habitat areas and adjoining vineyards, where you will see a variety of bird species and possibly even some local mammals. Meet your guide at the end of Jahant Rd, outside the entrance to the vineyard office. Gate may be closed when you initially arrive, but guide will be there shortly to open the gate.
