TOUR DESCRIPTION
Spend the afternoon exploring the scenic waterways of the California Delta with a licensed local boat operator and a birder/naturalist. As wildlife remains active throughout the day, this cruise offers excellent opportunities to observe the Delta’s diverse birdlife and natural beauty.
Keep an eye out for geese, ducks, and other waterfowl, as well as the many birds and mammals that inhabit the Delta’s marshes and shorelines. Sandhill Cranes and Tundra Swans may also be seen, depending on the season and conditions. Along the way, your naturalist will share insights into the Delta’s ecology, wildlife, and conservation, making this an enjoyable experience for birders, photographers, and nature enthusiasts alike.

This tour begins on paved surfaces and includes travel to the boat boarding area, where some uneven ground may be encountered. Boarding and disembarking the boat requires stepping between the dock and the vessel. Walking distances are short, but participants should expect minor changes in surface conditions during the tour.

Life jackets are provided. Space is limited on the boat, so all personal items need to be held on your lap. Bring your binoculars and camera. The tour is suitable for able-bodied adults and kids, but an adult must accompany their children. Boats have an open canopy; always be prepared for the elements. Toilet facilities are dockside only. We set sail from the dock at Tower Park Marina/Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Camp-Resort.
