TOUR DESCRIPTION

The Cosumnes River Preserve has a number of ecological habitats that may be reached in a walk of just a few miles. You will experience Seasonal Wetlands, Oak Forests, Savanna and Riparian biomes and importantly, their interfaces. The plants, insects, dry and wet soils, all contribute to the success of the diverse species of birds that reside in the Preserve. Wear sensible shoes, take a water bottle and be ready to walk.
